REPLY...In choosing to allow themselves to fall prey to the folly of sin, 'Children of Man' choose the Only thing which could interfere with and disrupt the foundation and flow within the mind and its contained Spirit!
Which also inadvertently Did Not allow the physical body to disregard those things which could POSSIBLE influence the Spiritual functions of the body enough, to reduce its Spiritual ability for/in suitably functioning and interacting with its surroundings Spiritually!
Thus through sin, 'Children of Man' then become weakened to Spiritual ailments, or even death.

The inner-Spirit was designed by God as a vehicle to help establish a positive enough foundation within the mind, to allow the physical body to disregard those things which could influence the physical functions of the body enough, to reduce its ability to suitably function and interact with its surroundings!
Thus when the Spirit did become corrupted, so too did the physical body become subject to corruption.
